# Tools

> What the 1Tx MCP server lets your agent read and build

The server has 15 tools in three groups. Read tools only read. Action tools build a batch of calls
for your 1Tx non-custodial wallet and return an approval link: they never sign or send anything.

<Note>
  Amounts are **raw token units**. 500 USDC (6 decimals) is `500000000`. The agent reads each
  token's decimals from `search_instruments` or `get_instruments`.
</Note>

## Discover

| Tool | What it returns |
| - | - |
| `search_instruments` | Active lending markets with APY, TVL, tier, APY stability and protocol entry/exit fees. Sorted by APY or TVL, optionally on one chain |
| `get_instruments` | Up to 10 markets in depth: tokens, APY split (interest vs rewards), TVL, stability over the lookback window, and 30 days of daily APY |
| `search_loops` | Loopable (collateral, debt) pairs, each with a `loopId` |
| `compare_allocations` | Up to 4 candidate portfolios measured side by side: a wallet's live book or weights you choose. "All in one market" is a candidate like any other |
| `price_rebalance` | The moves, costs and expected yield of taking a wallet's book to target weights |

## Act

Each of these returns a simulated batch that ends with an attribution tag, an `actionId`, and an
`approvalUrl`. A batch that would revert is refused instead.

| Tool | What it builds |
| - | - |
| `deposit` | Deposit an amount (USDC by default, or another token) into a market, swapping first if needed |
| `withdraw` | Withdraw an amount, or `max`, from a market, optionally swapped back to USDC |
| `bridge` | Burn USDC on one chain for your own wallet on another, over Circle CCTP V2 (standard or fast) |
| `redeem_bridge` | Once a bridge is `destination_ready`: redeem the USDC on the destination chain and, optionally, deposit it into a market in the same batch |
| `open_loop` | Open a levered loop as one atomic batch, with the resulting health factor measured |
| `adjust_loop` | Change a loop's leverage |
| `close_loop` | Unwind a loop completely. A loop can only be taken off with `close_loop`, not `withdraw` |
| `transfer` | Send USDC (or another token) from your wallet to another address, an amount or `max`. Withdraw from a market first |

<Warning>
  When a loop result shows `leverage.requiresAccountConfig`, the batch changes your wallet's e-mode
  in that lending pool. That re-prices any other position you hold in the same pool.
</Warning>

## Track

| Tool | What it returns |
| - | - |
| `status` | Your wallet's book, read live on every chain: each position and loop in USD, idle USDC per chain, and open actions |
| `history` | Your wallet's actions, newest first, with each transaction and the gas it cost in USDC |
| `action_status` | One action by `actionId`: whether it has landed, its transactions, and for a bridge its CCTP state |

## How an action flows

```
agent   deposit(instrumentId, amount)
          → calls (simulated) + actionId + approvalUrl
you     open approvalUrl, review the calls, approve
          → your wallet signs and sends one user operation, gas paid in USDC
1Tx     sees the tag land on chain; status and history update on their own
```

The agent has nothing to report after you approve. It can check the result with
`action_status(actionId)`.

## Prompts

| Prompt | Arguments | What it does |
| - | - | - |
| `start` | none | What 1Tx does, then one market or a portfolio |
| `build-portfolio` | `amount`, `limits` (both optional, plain words) | Measures a few candidate splits, you pick one, then it builds the moves |
